'Geversduin'
The dew is drying in the morning sun. Two little birds fly away from the birdhouse, chirping. Jackdaws, so the ranger told us yesterday. Let's first get the bread rolls, and then head to the beach through the woods. Perhaps we'll come across the highland cattle again?

Experiencing nature
The campsite has an Experience Path, a Butterfly Garden and a special Animal Trail. Immediately adjacent lies the North Holland Dune Reserve, a large 2000 hectares nature reserve which reaches to the coast. Ideal for many explorations, by bike or on foot.
The ranger can tell you all you wish to know. There are regular guided excursions from the campsite. Why not join an outing rounding up sheep, or finding moths at full moon? Children can learn lots about nature on one of our cool ranger courses.
Facilities
For the ultimate nature experiences there is a Watch Tower at Geversduin, as well as the Insect Hotel and a water play area. In addition there is a pub serving meals, a supermarket with fresh bread rolls, free Internet and heated washroom facilities.
Urban types who occasionally need a city fix will find this in Alkmaar, Amsterdam and Haarlem, cities that are just around the corner. Also within close reach are the famous Keukenhof, the Zaanse Schans and visitors centre Ilperveld, for the ultimate 'Dutch' experience.
